Doris E. Matthews

Doris E. Matthews, age 85 years, formerly of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, August 1, 2016 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Irvington, NJ, September 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marie Mundweiler Barnett.

Doris was a former NJ Bell Operator in Union, NJ.

She was predeceased by her first husband, William Edward Muller, and her second husband, Joseph Matthews. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William E. and Lisa A. Muller, of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Albert Barnett, of Brick, NJ; and her grandson, William J. Muller of Philadelphia, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ. Interment will be in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
