Doris F. Orashen

Doris F. Orashen, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at her home. Born in Baptistown, NJ, April 27, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Sylvannus and Marion Rupell Compton. Doris was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County. Doris retired from Quick Check in the Accounts Payable department. She enjoyed sewing and making wreaths, doing puzzles and crosswords, and romance novels. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad for many years. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Duke Orashen, in 2012; her son, Donald Orashen, in 2015, and her daughter, Denise Hannigan, in 1999, and her brother, Roy Compton, in 2018. She is survived by her son, David Orashen, of Lawrenceville, NJ; her daughter, Dr. Dale Sheehan, of San Diego, CA; her sister, Edna Wene, of Asbury, NJ; her brother-in-law, Richard Orashen, of Raritan Township, NJ; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:30 AM in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
