Doris L. Gottshall

Doris L. Gottshall, age 80 years, of Richlandtown, PA., died Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Phoebe House, Richlandtown, PA. where she resided.

Born in Flemington, NJ, July 24, 1940, daughter of Samuel and Carrie Miller Whitehead, she grew up in Flemington and had resided in the Quakertown, PA area for sixty years.

She and her husband operated Skip’s Sales Grocery located at the Farmer’s Market, Quakertown, PA, for many years until retiring in 2000.

She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Stanley Whitehead, Helen Hoppe, Irene Tinnes and Betty Ann Tubiello.

Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her husband of sixty-two years, Robert “Skip” Gottshall; three daughters, Cindy Lou Warboy (Mike) of Davidsonville, MD, Julie Anne Gottshall of Red Hill, PA, and Shirley Lynn Gottshall of Perkasie, PA; a son, Robert R. Gottshall, Jr. (Lara) of Quakertown, PA; four grandchildren, Thomas R. Shelly, Alyson Shelly, Frank DiRenzo (Joanna) and Alyssa Gottshall; a great-grandson, Romen Merceruio; four sisters, Edna Reynolds of Ringoes, NJ, Mabel Bennett of Phillipsburg, NJ, Katherine Beatty of Croton, NJ and Alice Emery of Ringoes, NJ and one brother, Ronald Whitehead of Frenchtown, NJ. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14, 2020, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2020, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
