Dorothy A. Nering

Dorothy A. Nering, age 92 years, of Myrtle Beach, SC, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her home.

Born in Newark, NJ, July 16, 1920 daughter of the late August and Theresa Auth Lentz, she had formerly resided in Raritan Township, NJ for thirty-five years before moving to Myrtle Beach thirty years ago.

Dorothy was formerly employed in the bookkeeping department of the Hunterdon County National Bank, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1982.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Garden City, SC, and the Heron Point Ladies Golf Club. She was an avid traveler and gardener and was formerly a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ and a member of its' Altar & Rosary Society.

Surviving are her husband of seventy-one years, Oswald Nering; two daughters, Carol McBride of Colorado Springs, CO and Kathleen Nering of Elbert, CO; three sons, Donald Nering of Quakertown, NJ, Robert Nering of Sergeantsville, NJ, and Thomas Nering of Milford, NJ; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 10:00 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
