Dorothy M. (Nee: Lisk) Denyse passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the age of 100. She was born on August 23, 1924 in Flemington NJ, daughter of the late Marguerite (German) Lisk and George Lisk. She was born and raised in Flemington, NJ and lived there all her life, she graduated from Flemington High School, in the Class of 1942.
Dottie, as she was known by friends and family, was formerly employed as a dinnerware decorator at Stangl Pottery in Flemington, and later at the Trenton facility for over 24 years.
She was past president of American Legion Post 159 Ladies Auxiliary. Dottie also served as past president of both the Flemington Raritan Senior Citizens Club and the Readington Township Senior Citizens Club. She was the senior citizens trip coordinator for the Hunterdon Senior Counsel and Readington Township Seniors for almost 20 years.
Dottie was predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Denyse in 1999 after 54 years of marriage. She has been a member of the Flemington United Methodist Church her entire life.
Surviving are her son, Dennis Denyse and his wife, Kathy of Flemington, and her daughter, Elizabeth Anne Trapanese and her husband, Richard, of Sergeantsville NJ, her grandson, Dennis Mccamy, and his wife, Lisa of Flemington, her grandson Zachary Trapanese of Sergeantsville, and her granddaughter, Stacy Fischer and her husband, Shaun, of Eldon MO, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Interment will be held at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Delaware Township NJ. There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Flemington United Methodist Church, 116 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822.
