Dorothy Roksvaag

Dorothy Roksvaag, age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, October 18, 2009, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, April 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Ecklund and Agnes Othiele Skjefte Johnson.

A homemaker, she had formerly resided in Staten Island, NY,

Pine Beach, NJ, and New Port Richey, FL.

She had a lifelong passion for animals, enjoyed bowling, bingo, and pinochle, and also had a love for dancing.

Her husband, Arne Edgar Roksvaag, died in 1991. Surviving are three sons, Richard Charles Lunde of Rochester, NY, George Edward Roksvaag of Flemington, NJ, and Don Arne Roksvaag of Forked River, NJ; eight grandchildren: Allyson, Jennifer, Kevin, Kristen, Tracy, Robert, Brian, and Jillian; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
