FLEMINGTON -- Dorothy R. Lubsen, 82, of Flemington, died Monday at home.

Born in Stillwater, Mrs. Lubsen lived in Branchville, and in Flemington Borough since 1946. She was a homemaker, and a graduate of Centenary College in Hackettstown, with a degree in library science. She was a member and former Elder of Flemington Presbyterian Church, where she was also a longtime member of the choir. She was a member of Flemington Woman's Club; a former Brownie Troop leader and Cub Scout Den Mother in Flemington. She was an avid bridge player; and a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Flemington.

Daughter of the late Joseph C. and Myrtle Longcar Roy, she is survived by her husband, Henry A. Lubsen at home; three sons, Hal Lubsen of Center Valley, Pa., Geoffrey Lubsen of Raritan Township, and Scott Lubsen of Flemington; a daughter, Karen Compton of Raritan Township; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington. There will be no calling hours.
