Dorothy Teresa Amarino, age 92 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at her residence.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, April 26, 1916, daughter of the late Carmine and Matilde Martuscello Tazzi, she had resided in Raritan Township for the past eight years, having previously lived in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.
She was formerly a Clerk with the United States Postal Service, Cadman Plaza, Brooklyn, NY.
A Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, Mrs. Amarino was very active in the Church's Homebound Group.
Her husband, Elio Amarino, whom she married on March 6, 1943, died in 1965. Additionally, her son, Salvatore Amarino, died in 1984.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Contenta "Donna" and Tony Lucchetto of Raritan Township, NJ; and four grandchildren, Anthony, Chrisann R., Laura K. and Brittany D. Lucchetto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
