Dorothy W. Bauer

Dorothy W. Bauer, age 92 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, June 3, 1929, Dorothy was the daughter of the late John and Mary Gyure Winecker and was a resident of Hunterdon County most of her life. At one time, she had resided in Whiting, NJ and also in Lavallette, NJ. In the 1970’s she owned and operated Clinton Jewelry Store and later was a home health aide with Meridian Health Care until 2002. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Flemington, NJ. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Melissa Yerkes in 2010 as well as her daughter-in-law, Jeannine Hamon Kuhl, who died in 2018. She was also pre-deceased by two brothers and two sisters, John Winecker, Henry Winecker, Anne Haller and Margaret Porter. Surviving are her son, Rick Kuhl of Flemington, NJ; four grandchildren, William R. Yerkes III, Lucas Yerkes, Monique Robinson and her husband, Joshua, and Rick Kuhl, Jr. She is also survived by her son-in-law, William R. Yerkes, Jr., her sister-in-law, Margaret Winecker and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Grandin, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM at the funeral home.
