Dorothy Young, of Flemington, NJ, died on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her home.
Born May 9, 1953 in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Milton and Charlotte Atwood Young, she had resided in Flemington her entire life.
A former employee of Tekni-Plex since 1978, she was an avid baker and well known for her famous banana bread.
She was pre-deceased by her sister, Charolotte Haines.
Surviving are her spouse and caregiver, Timothy J. Leary of Flemington, NJ; a son, Timothy F. Leary of Flemington, NJ; two daughters, Michelle Meza of Flemington, NJ, and Aeda Yard of Gatesville, TX; two sisters, Sandy Schuster of South Bound Brook, NJ, and Melody Young of Flemington, NJ; a brother Milton Young of Lebanon, NJ; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
