Douglas A. Reedy, age 50 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Thursday, February 18, 2010, peacefully at home.

Born in Kansas City, MO, February 24, 1959, son of Ruth Britt Manning and her husband, Charles and Maurice Reedy and his wife, Barbara, both of The Villages, FL, he had resided in Franklin Township for the past seven years, having formerly lived in North Plainfield, NJ and having grown up in Sawkill, NY.

A 1977 graduate of Kingston High School, he went on to graduate SUNY Binghamton in 1981. Mr. Reedy was a Supervisor for a franchise of McDonald's Corporation in Scotch Plains and Garwood, NJ.

An attendee of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Pittstown, NJ, he greatly enjoyed golf and following local High School wrestling. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his loving family.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and step-parents, are his wife of twenty-three years, Susan Vaughan Reedy; three daughters, Samantha A. Reedy, Cassandra B. Reedy and Jillian V. Reedy, all at home; a sister, Jo Ann Reuben of Tillson, NY; three brothers, Steven Reedy of Warren, NJ, Jim Reedy of Scotch Plains, NJ and Ron Reedy of Ridgewood, NJ; two step-sisters, Cherie Levy of Ann Arbor, MI and Lisa Buser in North Carolina; two step-brothers, Paul Buser in Mississippi and Rick Buser in New York; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sandra and Matthew Vaughan of Woodbury, CT.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Annandale, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
