Dr. Arthur “Bobby” Robert Rothman

Dr. Arthur “Bobby” Robert Rothman, an internist who practiced family medicine and served as a Captain and U.S. Navy Physician passed in peace at his farm, Oxbow Acres on May 18, 2018 at age 88. Bobby was born in Brooklyn, NY, January 22, 1930, son of late Sam and Gussie Rothman, and formerly resided in Staten Island, NY. Loving husband of 45 years to Joan Granby Rothman; proud father of Amy Rothman, Nina Rothman Fairchild and her spouse Skip, Samantha Rothman, and Jud Rothman; and devoted grandfather of Sydney Fairchild Fitch and spouse Justin, Logan Fairchild and spouse Megan, and Zachary “Zack” Ryan. Bobby will be fondly remembered by family, friends and patients as a brilliant doctor, committed humanitarian, animal lover, gentleman farmer, sportsman, and humorist. An intimate funeral service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018, at 7:00 PM at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be held at a later date and time in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on June 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Menorah Chapels Inc., 2145 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY.
