Duane G. Koch

Duane G. Koch, age 58, of Raritan Township, NJ passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 20th, 2022, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Summit, NJ, January 1st, 1964, Duane was the proud son of the late Richard and Eleanor (Nicholson) Koch. Duane moved to Readington as a young boy and set roots in Hunterdon County, where he ran several successful businesses and lived out his days with his family. All who were blessed with Duane’s friendship and love, will continue to value his existence and the life-long imprint left on their hearts. These words cannot adequately express the worth of such a man. Duane had a great love of working outdoors. In high school, he worked for his family nursery, Xanadu Farms alongside his Mother and Father. Duane went on to Open D.K. Landscape Design and Architects where he excelled at commercial and residential landscaping. Duane also worked with several landscaping, hardscaping, and snow removal businesses, including the Nicholson Corporation where he pridefully worked alongside his cousin. Those who worked with him, considered him to be dependable leader. In his younger years, Duane enjoyed driving his Z28 Camaro to Great Adventure, spending time on the Jersey shore, and frequenting the Circle Diner with friends and cousins. As a child, Duane spent his Sundays roller-skating at the Frenchtown Roller Rink. Throughout Duane’s life, he chose to show compassion and reliability to family and friends who may have needed him. Duane was ultimately a big guy with a big heart. Above all else, this is why he will be missed. He is pre-deceased by his brother Richard Koch in 2014. Duane is survived by his best friend and wife, Jessica, his two children, Elizabeth A. Koch of Raritan Township NJ (at home), Brandon D. Koch, and his Wife, Chelsea A. Koch, of Bradenton, FL., two granddaughters, Nora S. and Stella B. Koch of Bradenton, FL, two great nephews Dawson N. and Michael A. Cignarella of Raritan Township, NJ, his sister, Debbie L. Koch of Readington NJ along with several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and a multitude of cousins and friends. Funeral services for Duane will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Cremation will follow privately.
