E. Brenda Savidge

E. Brenda Savidge, age 91 years, of Bridgewater Township, NJ, died Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Avalon Assisted Living at Bridgewater. Born in Ruabon, Wales, September 27, 1925, daughter of the late Reginald and Mary Jones, she had formerly resided in Belle Mead, NJ. Brenda was a longtime owner and operator of the Somerville Pet Store, Somerville, NJ. She was an avid volunteer in the Somerset Medical Center and a choir member at the First Baptist Church of Somerville. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Herbert W. Savidge in 1999 and a son Roger Savidge in 2006. Surviving are one daughter, Linda Levy of Raleigh, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Margot Savidge of Flemington, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Donald Rakestraw of Indianapolis, IN, and one sister Bobbie Ziegler of Kissimmee, FL. A funeral service and burial in New Cemetery, Somerville, NJ will be held privately under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
