Earl C. Korn, age 88 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.
Born in South Plainfield, NJ, June 7, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles and Grace Norman Korn. He had formerly resided in Mt. Holly, NJ.
He was an Advisory Engineer with IBM, and was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Gunners Mate Second Class serving on escort duty in North Africa, Sicily, the Normandy Invasion and Okinawa.
He was a member of the Flemington United Methodist Church.
His wife, Irene Watts Korn, died in 2004; a son Keith Korn died in 2002 and a son, Barry Korn, died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Michael J. Korn of Pleasantville, NY and Randall Korn of Huntsville, AL; one brother, Keith Korn of Waterford, WI; a sister, Irma Hall of Phillipsburg, NJ; and a grandson, Alex Korn of Pleasantville, NY.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12:30 PM until time of service in the funeral home.
