Earl H. Wilcox, age 86 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.
Born in Reaville, NJ, son of the late Seward and Bertha Swarer Wilcox, he had resided in the area all his life.
A 1938 graduate of Flemington High School, Earl served his country in the Army Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He flew thirty-eight missions during the European-African campaigns and was awarded the European-African-Middle East Ribbon with four Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Air Medal.
Mr. Wilcox was retired from Union Carbide, Bound Brook, NJ after thirty years there. He was a member of the East Amwell Seniors and the Sohiwe Gun Club, Hopewell, NJ.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Kim Wilcox in 2000 and by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Wilcox in 2004.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight years, Doris Kline Wilcox; two sons, Mark Wilcox of Easton, PA and Brian Wilcox of Washington, NJ; a daughter, Eileen Wessler of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Rodney Wilcox of Three Bridges, NJ; and five grandchildren, Michael, Alexander, Abigail, Kate and John.
