E. David Barrick, age 77 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died Monday, December 13,2010, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Pittstown, NJ, December 25, 1932, son of the late Arthur and Jennie Stenabaugh Barrick, he had resided in Ringoes, NJ fifty-six years.

He was a self-employed excavator is this area for many years and he and his wife also owned Schaffernoth Nursery in Ringoes, until 2005.

He was a 1951 graduate of Flemington High School; was a fifty-six year member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, Ringoes; former member of the East Amwell Township Board of Education serving from 1966-1976; was a former member of the East Amwell Board of Adjustment; and was Chairman of the East Amwell Fire Commissioners since 1984.

He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Brenda Lee Millhimes and a granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Millhimes. The youngest of eight children, he is survived by his wife, Harriet Rauschert Barrick; a son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Ashley Barrick of Stockton, NJ; a son-in-law, Joey Millhimes of Ringoes, NJ; six grandchildren: Deann, Caitlyn, Olivia, and Emily Barrick and Korinne and Jacob Millhimes; a brother, George Barrick of Oxford, MI; a sister, Marjorie Frantz of Newark, DE; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
