Edna E. Haines

Edna E. Haines, age 88 years, of the Cherryville section of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Friday, October 28, 2016 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Cherryville, NJ, September 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Florence Kaffitz Peterman. She was a lifelong resident of Cherryville.

Mrs. Haines was an Administrative Assistant and former Court Clerk with the County of Hunterdon Family Court, retiring in 2015.

Edna was a 1946 graduate of Flemington High School; a former Sunday School Teacher at the Quakertown United Methodist Church; and a former organist at the Allerton United Methodist Church.

Her husband of fifty-four years, Arthur V. Haines, died in January 2016. Surviving are her sister, Alice Lefebvre, of Cherryville, NJ; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Cherryville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
