Edna E. Wolverton

Edna E. Wolverton, age 94 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Thursday, April 2, 2009, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Jamaica, NY, April 18, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian Harman Krouse, and had formerly resided in Hamilton Township, NJ.

She was Principal Clerk of the Superior Court, Trenton, NJ for twenty-three years before retiring. She was a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928 Ladies Auxiliary and St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.

Her husband, David Tilden Wolverton, died in 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Purdy of Hillsborough, NJ, and Shirley Brunn of Ringoes, NJ; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, NJ. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ.
