Edna M. Sipler, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Saturday May 29, 2010 at her residence.
A life long resident of Hunterdon County, she was born in Alexandria Township February 9, 1923, daughter of the late Albert and Eliza Ulmer Case. She was formerly a cook for the Flemington-Raritan School district and also was employed by Lambertville Diamond Silver Company. She was a devoted mother who spent her life caring for her family and also enjoyed gardening.
Her husband, Dean Sipler died in 1995, a daughter Carlene Sipler died in 1970 and two sisters Ida Marks and Ruth Benthem also pre-deceased her. Surviving are three daughters; Diane Nakashima of San Jose, Ca, Cathy White of Ft. Mill, SC, and Carol Plumstead of Flemington, NJ; two sons, Wayne Sipler, and Warren Sipler both of Flemington, NJ; four grandchildren, Mark Nakashima, Wendy Guevara, Brian Sipler, and Eric Plumstead; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and two sisters, Ann Kintzel of Washington Crossing, NJ, and Marjorie Lance, of Milford, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ followed by interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday June 7, 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
