Edna W. Simon, age 90 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, formerly of Lazybrook Road, Readington Township, NJ, died on Thursday, September 23, 2010, in Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, PA.
Born in Newark, NJ, December 5, 1919, daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth Trum Weibel, she had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ most of her life.
Edna was formerly employed by Dunham's Store and Orr's Store, Flemington, NJ. Additionally, Mrs. Simon was a former member of the Community Garden Club and of the Widows and Widowers Club. She was a member of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ for many years before joining St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Three Bridges, NJ. She enjoyed Homemaking, entertaining, gardening, reading, crocheting, and crafting.
She was pre-deceased by a son, Gerald Simon in 1972, her husband, Albert Simon in 1976 and two grandchildren, Michael D. Tittle in 1984 and Jennifer L. Tittle in 1997.
Surviving are a son, Michael A. Simon of Ickesburg, PA; two daughters, Arlene N. Myers of East Amwell Township, NJ and Bernadette E. Tittle of Colorado Springs, CO; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
