Edria G.T. Hagios, age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, January 28, 2010, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, September 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward Hartley Tilton and Ethel Mathes Tilton. She had formerly resided in East Amwell Township, NJ, moving to Raritan Township in 1970.
She was a 1947 graduate of Mount Holyoke College and received her M.A. in Library Services from Columbia University and her M.A. in Education from Temple University. She was a Teaching Librarian in Trenton, NJ and then at Robert Hunter School in Raritan Township for twenty-three years.
She was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, the Hunterdon County Quilters, the Hopewell Valley Golf Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was immediate Past President of the National Society of Colonial Dames of New Jersey.
Surviving are her husband of forty-nine years, Theodore A. Hagios; and a son, Denis G.H. Hagios of Raritan Township, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
