Edward G. Rehl

Edward G. Rehl, age 81 years, of Powells Point, NC, died Friday, September 29, 2023, at his home. He previously resided in Ringoes, NJ before moving to North Carolina.

Born in Somerville, NJ, on February 18, 1942, Edward was the son of the late George and Elsie Rehl, and as a young man, he served his country in the United States Navy.

Edward was an Owner / Operator transporting for Johanna Farms in Flemington, NJ. He was an avid motorcyclist and a former member of the Rolling Thunder.

Edward was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed greatly by those that knew him. He is pre-deceased by his wife of 35 years, Georgeanna Rehl in 1998 and his two siblings, William Rehl and Julia Rehl.

Surviving are his children, Dawn Shiron West and her husband, Ray of Indiana, Edward Rehl, Jr., and his wife, Barbara of Phillipsburg, NJ, Ella Hunter of Florida, William Rehl and his wife, Angel of Powells Point, NC, Amy Albert of Ewing, NJ, Mark Rehl and his wife, Marcy of Ringoes, NJ and Lucretia Silverthorn and her husband, Jason of Frenchtown, NJ; his life companion, Roberta Kramer of Powells Point, NC; one brother Louis Rehl and his wife, Karen of Phillipsburg, NJ and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, as well as many close friends.

Graveside services in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, will be held privately under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
