Edward H. Stehr, age 82 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Monday, December 3, 2007 in Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, NJ.
Born in Albany, NY, October 16, 1925, son of the late Frederick and Mary Dwyer Stehr, he had resided in this area sixty-five years.
A United States Army veteran of World War II, he served with the Fourth Armored Division in Europe.
He was employed by the NJ Department of Transportation for over thirty years before retiring.
His wife, Louise McPherson Stehr, died in 1992. A loving grandfather, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cheryl Stehr of Franklin Township, NJ; a daughter, Ruth Pavlica, of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Beverly Badini, of Flemington, NJ; five grandchildren: Victoria Stehr, Kevin Stehr, Christa Stehr, James Pavlica, and Eric Pavlica; a niece, Karla Badini; and a nephew, Gregory Badini.
Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Honme, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
