Edward L. Kurtz, age 84 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Newark, NJ, August 10, 1924, he had resided in Franklin Township for the past forty-six years.
A Corporal in the United States Army during World War II, Mr. Kurtz worked for Hunterdon Transformer Co. for thirty-five years. He was a landowner member of the Quakertown Recreation Club, Quakertown, NJ.
His wife, Sophie S. Gorczyca Kurtz, died in 1980.
Surviving are a son, Edward Kurtz of Franklin Township, NJ; two daughters, Kristine Booth of Franklin Township, NJ and Kathy Kurtz of West Orange, NJ; two grandchildren, Richard and Michael Booth; and five great-grandchildren, Shane Booth, Zachary Booth, Ashley Booth, Emily Booth and Hailey Booth.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
