Edward M. Berry, age 91 years, of Three Bridges, NJ (Readington Township), died on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at his home.
Born in Newark, NJ, March 30, 1919, son of the late Raymond and Edna Berry, he had resided in Three Bridges, NJ since 2007, having formerly lived in Piscataway, NJ for seventeen years.
A United States Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Berry was a Financial Engineer for several corporations including ITT, MacGregor, R.C.A. and Bally. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Flemington, NJ.
Mr. Berry's daughter, Joanne Berry, died in 2008.
Surviving are his wife of eighteen years, Alice Clenaghan Berry; a son, Edward Berry, Jr. of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; two step-sons and their wives, Fred and Suzanne Toke of High Bridge, NJ and Steve and Tracie Toke of Three Bridges, NJ; a sister, Doris Shumway of Altamont, NY; a sister-in-law, Cecelia Clenaghan of Three Bridges, NJ; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will take place Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Episcopal Church, Broad Street and New York Avenue, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Visitaion will be Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
