Edward M. Muka, age 90 years, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his home in Trenton NJ. He was a lifelong resident of Trenton.
Born in Trenton NJ, Edward was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Micsko) Muka. He was a longtime member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church and later at Holy Cross Church-Divine Mercy Parish in Trenton.
He served his country as a Medic in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service in the military, Edward worked for many years at General Motors – Fisher Body Division in Ewing Township NJ. He later worked as a Security Guard at the Trenton-Mercer County Airport until his retirement.
A kind and gentle man, Edward took great pleasure in listening to his daughters play the piano at home. He enjoyed work in his backyard garden, playing many games of pinochle with friends and taking frequent trips to the Jersey Shore with his family.
In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his three brothers, John, Joseph, and Michael Muka and his sister, Mary Banick as well as his wife of 60 years, Martha Hrabovecky Muka in 2011. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lillian & Frank Bator of Cape Coral FL, his daughter, Diane Muka of Lafayette Hill PA, his granddaughter, Jennifer Bator, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alexandra & Matt DiBella of Hamilton NJ.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Cedar Lane in Trenton NJ. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
