Edward M. Saunders

Edward M. Saunders, age 91 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on July 4, 2003 at his residence. Born in Flemington, Delaware Township, NJ on February 28, 1912, he was the son of the late Harvey Saunders and Almeda (Fisher) Saunders. Mr. Saunders was a self-employed business owner, working at Saunders Disposal Service. He had resided in the state of New Jersey all of his life. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Saunders, who died in 1998. The burial was private.

Edward M. Saunders, 91, of Delaware Township, died Friday, July 4, 2003, at home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1912, in Flemington the son of the late Harvey and Almeda Fisher Saunders.

He was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County. He previously owned and operated Saunders Disposal Company and later worked at the maintenance division of Wilson Products in Neshanic.

He was a charter member of the Flemington Elks Lodge in Flemington and belonged to the Moose Lodge and VFW Post #7856, also in Flemington.

His wife, Anna, died in 1998.

He is survived by two sons, Edward Saunders and his wife Estelle, of Raritan Township, and William Saunders, and his wife Diane of Delaware Township; a daughter, Anna May Kovi, of Delaware Township; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
