Edward Pilecki

Edward Pilecki, age 89 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, NJ.

Born in Greenbrook, NJ, November 14,1922, son of the late Joseph and Sabina Krol Pilecki, he had formerly resided in Dunellen, NJ and Three Bridges, NJ before moing to the Stanton area in 1965.

He was a self-employed crane service operator, retiring in 1987.

An avid fisherman, he was a paratrooper with the US Army during World War 2, serving in the Philippines and the Pacific theatre.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Alice Raffler Pilecki; a son, James Pilecki of Clinton Township, NJ; a daughter, Laura Taylor of Frenchtown, NJ; a sister, Jeanette Hamilton of Plainfield, NJ; four loving grandchildren and three loving great grandchildren.
