Edward W. Rowe, age 83 years, of Branchburg Township, NJ, died Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.
Born in Irvington, NJ, December 16, 1937, son of the late Edward J. and Helen Pierce Rowe, Ed had resided in the Neshanic Station area for thirty-four years and formerly resided in Bridgewater Township, NJ.
He was an operating engineer working in construction as a heavy equipment operator for many years until retiring in 2000. Ed was a member of Local #825 the Operating Engineers Union, Springfield, NJ. Ed also served with the NJ National Guard for many years.
For several years, Ed was an avid bowler. His lifelong love of model trains and old toys took him to many shows and flea markets which he enjoyed for many years. Most of all, however, was his love for his family which came first before anything else.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-three years, Janet Lee Rowe; three sons, Edward K. Rowe of Glen Gardner, NJ, Kenneth S. (Lori) Rowe of Raritan Township, NJ and Kevin M. (Cindy) Rowe of Delaware Township,NJ; five grandchildren, Brian Rowe and his fiancée, Corinne Finnerty, Brandon Rowe, Kayla (John) Aleksandravicus, Kari Rowe and Gehrig Rowe; a great grandson, William Aleksandravicus; and his brother-in-law, Gary (Nancy Cotter) Lee of Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
Private family services will be held in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
