Eileen M. Long, age 78, of North Brunswick Township, NJ, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, January 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William J. Sr. and Catherine Crenigan Brooks.
A lifelong North Brunswick, NJ resident, Eileen worked for Hermann Services, INC in Monmouth Junction, NJ, St. Mary of Mount Virgin School in New Brunswick, NJ, and Hunterdon Family Medicine at Phillips Barber in Lambertville, NJ. She was a devout catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown, NJ. Eileen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, and going on cruise ships. She was proud of her Irish heritage and was an avid Notre Dame football fan and NY Giants fan.
She is pre-deceased by her husband John “Jack” Long in 2009 and her sister Marie Brooks in 1966. Surviving are her two daughters Lisa Long and companion Ed of North Brunswick, NJ and Karen Winfield and her husband, Jesse of Fords, NJ; three grandchildren, Jack Winfield, Colin Winfield, and Hayden Winfield; her twin sister, Kathleen Dey of Flemington, NJ; one niece, Christine Dey of Flemington, NJ; one nephew Jeffrey Dey of Flemington, NJ, and her beloved dog Reese.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 233 North Main Street, Milltown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, 585 Georges Road, North Brunswick Township, NJ. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 PM in the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd, Monroe Township, NJ.
Memorial contributions in Eileen’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or the North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad, 880 Ridgewood Ave, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902.
