Eleanor A. Scheblein, age 93 years, died Friday, August 25, 2017 at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center at Hillsborough (NJ).
Born January 30, 1924, in Middle Village Queens, New York, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Perdoch) Marga. She lived for more than 50 years in Brentwood, Long Island, raising her family there, before moving to Hillsborough NJ seven years ago.
Eleanor was woman of great faith in Christ and a fine Christian example to her sons and their families. She was a former long-time member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brentwood, and later a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flemington NJ.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her brother, Richard Marga, and her two sisters, Viola Thorne and Lydia Doran, as well as her husband, Adam W. Scheblein in 1965. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Rev. Adam L. Scheblein of Sheboygan WI, John A. Scheblein of Holtsville NY, and Joseph W. Scheblein of Flemington NJ, as well as six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale NY. There are no other services or calling hours.
Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
