Eleanor B. Slawinski, age 80 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was a resident of Edison, NJ and a Commuicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral Parish, Metuchen, NJ for thirty-nine years prior to moving to Flemington in Februrary 2007.
She was a Secretary for the Building Trades Employers Association in New York City for forty-four years, retiring in 1989.
Her husband, Walter Slawinski, died in 1999.
Surviving are three sisters, Irene Budka of Bayonne, NJ, Sylvia Monahan of Piscataway, NJ and Genevieve Zasacky of Farmington, MI; a brother, Thaddeus Budka of Bayonne, NJ; a brother-in-law, Henry Zasacky; and a sister-in-law, Jean Zajac of Port Clinton, OH; nieces and nephews, Jane and Kevin DeHaven, Mark and Karen Monahan, Laura Hastedt, Eric Zasacky, Joan Gil, William Zajac and Patti Zajac; and her great nieces and nephews, Peter and Kelly Monahan, Bradley, Timothy and Jeffrey Hastedt, Amy and Douglas Zasacky, Nicole and Jessica Gil, and Wendy, Robert and Bonnie Zajac.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
