Eleanor Ohrnberger Klepper

Eleanor Ohrnberger Klepper, age 95, died on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in the Borough of Manhattan in New York City on Sept 23, 1919, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Bums) Ohrnberger.

Before moving to Raritan Township in 1994, she lived in Bergenfield, NJ. While living in Bergenfield, Eleanor had been employed as a seamstress and later employed by the Teaneck School System.

After moving to Raritan Township, Eleanor volunteered her time at Meals-on-Wheels and at the Office on Aging where she was a volunteer shopper. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was one of the original members of the Happy Agers.

Eleanor was a much beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband of fifty seven years, Fred Klepper Jr, died in 1998. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and William Kohmuench of Stockton, NJ and her son and daughter-in- law, Fred and MaryAnn Klepper of Warwick., NY. She is survived by five grandsons and their wives; Fred and Annika Klepper, William and BettyAnne Klepper, Chris and Eleanor Klepper, William and Sheri Kohmuench, Jaisen and Kathy Kohmuench, and her sixth grandson Chad Kohmuench and his fiancé, Chelsea Manson. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Alison Klepper. Eleanor is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Noon in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday at 2 PM in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 10 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
