Eleanor Smythe

Eleanor Smythe, age 94 years, of Philadelphia, PA, died on Friday, November 26 2010 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, February 10, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia Moll Alexander. She had resided in Philadelphia all of her life.

She was a homemaker and an avid bridge player.

Her husband, Norman Smythe, died in 1977. Surviving are her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Carrolle and Robert Bowden of Readington Township, NJ; a grandaughter and her husband, Debra and Todd Wolf of Bridgeport, CT; a grandson and his wife, Jonathan and Christina Bowden of Pennington, NJ; and three great grandchildren, Conner Bowden, Lucy Wolf, and Carly Wolf; and two step great-grandchildren: Hannah and Ethan Wolf.

Private Graveside Services will be held on Saturday in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
