Eleanor H. Soltys

Eleanor H. Soltys, a remarkable woman known for her caring nature and vibrant spirit, passed away peacefully at her home in Cherryville (Franklin Township), NJ, on Monday, March 17, 2025. Born on August 6, 1930, in Newark, NJ, Eleanor lived a life dedicated to her passions and the people she loved.

Eleanor carved out a successful career by owning her beauty shop, Elly's House of Beauty, in Flemington, NJ. For an impressive 52 years, she nurtured not only her business but also the community around her, providing a welcoming space for countless clients who became like family. Her expertise and warm demeanor made every visit to her salon a cherished experience.

Eleanor’s journey in the beauty industry began with her education at the Wilford Academy of Hair Design, where she honed her skills and developed a lifelong love for her craft.

In addition to her professional achievements, Eleanor enjoyed a variety of interests that brought her joy. She had a fondness for visiting Atlantic City, reveling in the excitement of the coastal city. A playful spirit, she loved playing the lottery and celebrated her birthdays with enthusiasm, making each one a special occasion. Her love for animals was also a significant part of her life; she was particularly fond of dogs.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Soltys and her parents, Frank Zemanek and Helen Graf Zemanek. She leaves behind a legacy of love in the form of her nieces and nephews, along with several close friends who will miss her deeply.

As we remember Eleanor H. Soltys, we celebrate a life well-lived and a life filled with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to those around her. Her memory will undoubtedly endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private graveside service will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
