Eleanor Williams Landsman, age 87 years, of Durham Twp., PA, died on April 23, 2005, in the Easton Hospital, Easton, PA.
Born in Flemington, NJ, April 17, 1918, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Peterman Williams. She had formerly resided in New York City.
She was retired Director of Nursery School and Director of Recreational Therapy at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, New York City, NY. She was a pioneer of the Child Life Specialist Programs in hospitals, and was the author of several published articles related to these programs. These programs helped explain surgeries children would be having.
She was a 1935 graduate of Flemington High School and graduated from Douglass College, New Brunswick, NJ. She was an avid gardener.
Her husband, Paul Landsman, died in 1997. Surviving is a niece, Debra Williams Baumann, of Raritan Township, NJ.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at 1 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
