Elise A. Dowd

Elise A. Dowd, age 90 years, of Washington, D.C., died on Monday, October 29, 2012 in the Little Sisters of the Poor/St. Joseph's Villa, Washington, D.C. where she had resided since 2000.

Born in New York City, NY, June 10, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Galban Dowd, she was a Extern for the Carmelite Monastery in Raritan Township, NJ for many years.

She had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ from 1956-2000.

Surviving are a sister, Sister Judith Dowd of Okeechobee, FL; and a nephew, John Gornto of Burlinton, NC.

A Memorial Mass will be announced in the Carmelite Monastery, 26 Harmony School Road, Flemington, NJ 08822 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
