Elizabeth Ann "Libby" O'Shea, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, May 1, 2009 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ surrounded by her loving family.
Born in West Orange, NJ, September 9, 1921, daughter of the late Jerry and Angelina Santoro Michaels, she had resided in Raritan Township since 2004, having formerly resided in Plainfield, NJ for many years.
A graduate of West Orange High School and Drake Business College, she was first employed by Orange Roller Bearing Company, then by Lockheed Electronics and then became an Executive Secretary at Mount St. Mary Academy, Watchung, NJ.
A member of the Catholic Daughters, Mrs. O'Shea was also a member of the Rosary Society. Additionally, she was a choir member of St. Bernard's Church for over fifty years, serving as a Cantor, Soloist and Song leader for the group.
Her husband of fifty-eight years, Edward J. O'Shea, died in 2004 and a sister, Rose Mary Kobulyar, also died in 2004.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen O'Shea and Daniel Schultz of Sun City West, AZ and Maryellen O'Shea and Mark J. Kelly of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Carol Cherry of Morristown, NJ; several sisters-in-law; and niece Carol Ann Manzella and nephew Edward J. Cherry, among many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
