Elizabeth Case Bacheler, known as Libby, age 67 years, of Highlands, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ.
Born in Summit, NJ, November 25, 1944, daughter of the late Merrill and Christl Stangl Bacheler, she had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ for twenty years, then married and moved to Ridgefield, CT for the next twenty years, spent a period of time in Manhattan, NY and then retired to the Jersey Shore.
Libby Was an extremely talented artist. When in Ridgefield, CT, she attended Wooster Art School and worked for the Frame n Print Shop on Main Street. In later years, she volunteered in Long Branch, NJ for the Disney Goldsmith Center teaching painting. She was an admirer of the sea and sand on her feet.
She was also a 1963 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ and Colby Sawyer Junior College.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Jon Scott Henderson. Surviving are a daughter, Heidi Henderson and son-in-law David Weart of Killington, Vt.; a son, Thomas Henderson and daughter-in-law Jennifer Henderson of Allendale, NJ; two brothers, Scott Bacheler of Ft. Myers, Fl. and Stewart Bacheler of Rotonda, Fl. and two grandchildren, Abigail Henderson and Jack Henderson, both of Allendale, NJ.
Graveside services in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
