Elizabeth Marie Beye Martin

Elizabeth Marie (Beyer) Martin, age 94 years, of Annandale, NJ, died on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at her residence.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles W. Martin and the devoted mother of Sophie Flatz Murray and her husband Robert, of Annandale, NJ.

Born in Wood-Ridge, NJ, December 10, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Sophie Euvrard Beyer. She had formerly lived in Hasbrouck Heights, Teaneck, the Township of Washington and Moorestown, NJ.

Mrs. Martin who preferred to be called Nana, was a life-long homemaker and an avid gardener. She served as a Girl Scout leader in Teaneck, a "lunch mother" at St. Andrew's School in Westwood, and most recently, while living in Annandale, Nana enjoyed her role as a Hunterdon Hospice volunteer.

She was the cherished grandmother of Daniel Murray and his wife Trudy, Elizabeth Heusser and her husband, Glenn, Katherine Leonard and her husband Ralph, Therese Faessler and her husband Markus, and Peter Murray. She was also the loving and proud great-grandmother of Matthew and Lauren Murray, Andrew, Philip and Carla Heusser, Steven and Rebecca Leonard and Markus Faessler.

Funeral arrangements will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A private, Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
