Ellen Rose Daviau

Ellen Rose Daviau, age 59 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, NJ.

Born May 22, 1949 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of Harold A. Barber of Raritan Township, NJ and the late Rosemary McMahon Barber, she had resided in Raritan Township for the past two years, having previously lived in Mystic Island, NJ and Chicopee, MA.

She was formerly an Office Manager with Bass Transportation, Flemington, NJ and had also owned and operated a Taxi Company in Long Beach Island, NJ and Mystic Island, NJ.

Her Godmother and Aunt, Beverley A. Cannon, died in May of this year.

In addition to her father, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Donna Beam of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, a son, Gene Hartrum, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Mary and Domenic Cuzzocrea of South Bound Brook, NJ; two brothers, Harold J. Barber of Allentown, PA and Kenneth A. Barber of Easton, PA; a sister, Elyse Ann Barber-Zieba of Battersea, Ontario, Canada; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; her Godson, Eric Cudworth, a member of the N.Y.P.D. of whom she was very proud; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum, Bridgewater, NJ.
