Ellen Shea Justice, age 61 years, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia PA, surrounded by her family.
Born July 16, 1956 in Brooklyn NY, Ellen was the daughter of the late Robert John and Rita (Gregory) Shea. She was a resident of Belle Mead NJ for 5 years, and has lived in East Amwell Township since 1993. Ellen graduated as an Registered Nurse from Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in New York City and received a nursing diploma and a BSN from Hunter College. With a natural ability to help others while displaying leadership qualities, she was quickly promoted to a Staff Supervisor at Beth Israel Medical Center, NYC where she worked for 7 years. She then joined Princeton Medical Center as Nursing Supervisor and was promoted to a Risk Manager for the Medical Center and remained there until 2001. She then joined Almac in Souderton, PA where she was the Director, Client Services & Development and Risk Management until 2016.
Ellen was a gifted shopper, displaying her beautiful talents in the décor of her home, is listed among her wide interests. She was a charter member of the Almac “Foodie Club,” where she loved to enjoy good food and conversation with colleagues. She loved to read and listen to a wide range of music, most recently her love of country music and soft rock love songs. Ellen’s real love was for her family, raising her three sons and their many art exhibits and sporting pursuits, attending countless games and practices over many years. She was the guiding light for the family, who was compassionate and had a generous heart.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her sister, Dorice Barnes and her brother, Robert J. Shea Jr. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Steven Justice, her three sons, Kyle Justice, Tyler Justice and Ryan Justice, her two sisters, Maureen Shea and Maryellen Hammill, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Bridge Street, Lambertville NJ. Cremation will follow at Ewing Crematory in Ewing NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm, and on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
