Elma J. Rake, age 89 years, of Titusville, NJ, died Friday, March 12, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Dianna Barkman, in Alexandria Township, NJ.
Born in West Amwell Township, NJ, February 8, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph Earl Farlee and Elsie Wooters Farlee, Elma had resided in Titusville, NJ since 1964.
A graduate of Lambertville High School, she was a homemaker who especially enjoyed gardening and quilting. Elma also was an avid reader and loved to travel the USA and Europe with her husband, Lloyd, to bicycle racing competitions.
Her husband, Lloyd Rake, died in 2014, and a daughter, Linda Susan Crowe, died in 2010. Elma was also pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters, Dorothy Smith, Marion Horvat, Alvin Farlee and Richard Farlee.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Dianne Barkman, are her grandchildren, Molly Anne Barkman, Timothy Barkman, Amberlee Seitz and Jaclyne Johnson, her great grandchildren Marley Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Noah Seitz, Griffin Seitz, William Johnson and Ethan Sorensen, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements and cremation services are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
