Born in Harbourton, NJ on August 22, 1884, he was the son of the late Joseph Hoagland and Annie Merrill.

Mr. Hoagland was a retired trucker.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel (Chamberlin) Hoagland, who died in September of 1964.

Interment in Harbourton Cemetery, 1516 Harbourton Rocktown Rd, Lambertville, NJ.
