Elsa E. Mazzucco

Elsa E. Mazzucco, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Independence Manor, Raritan Township, where she had resided since 2012.

Born in Flemington, NJ, December 4, 1928, daughter of the late Emil and Valentina Krause Weiss, she had resided in the Flemington area most of her life. Elsa had also formerly resided in Bridgewater Township, NJ.

She was a 1947 graduate of Flemington High School and was an administrative assistant with the Flemington-Raritan School System until retiring.

Elsa was a member and deacon of the Flemington Presbyterian Church and a recipient of the Lloyd Wescott Award in recognition of her over twenty-five years as a volunteer at the Hunterdon Medical Center. Elsa was always a caregiver for her family and friends as well.

Her husband, Joseph Mazzucco, died in 1983 and she was pre-deceased by her three brothers, Emil Weiss, Herman Weiss and Walter Weiss.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Curtis Leeds of Ringoes, NJ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Mazzucco of Coloma, MI. and Joel and Adele Mazzucco of Ringoes, NJ; four grandchildren, Jessica Rash, Sarah Simko, Justin Mazzucco and Kimberly Mazzucco; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Rash and Jonathan Rash.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2016, at 11:00AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
