Elsie D. Ochs

Elsie D. Ochs, age 93 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Monday, January 19, 2009 at her residence.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, daughter of the late August and Elsie Hambrock Dowe, she had formerly resided in Newark, NJ and West Orange, NJ, moving to Readington Township in 1947.

A graduate of West Orange High School, she and her late husband, Harold Ochs, Sr., owned and operated a farm in Readington Township. Mr. Ochs died in 1994.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Ron DeFulvio of Kutztown, NJ, Nancy and Bud Wilner of Hot Springs, AR, and Virginia and Edward Pierce of Neshanic Station, NJ; a son, Harold Ochs, Jr. of Flemington, NJ; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her two beloved dogs, Missy and Sassy.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
