Born in Staten Island, NY on September 30, 1932, he was the son of Tjostolf Liland and Freida (Thornstenson) Liland. Mr. Liland worked as a mechanical engineer for nuclear power-plants and oil refineries. He is survived by his wife, Alyson (Brown) Liland. The burial was private.
