Emma Waldron Santo, age 81 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, November 12, 2009, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Flemington, NJ, May 31, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Van and Alice Trimmer Waldron. She was a lifelong resident of the Flemington area.

She was a graduate of Flemington High School, and was a former restaurant manager at Danforths, Chicken Holiday, and the Circle Diner.

She was a member and former Deacon and Trustee of the Flemington Baptist Church, a volunteer at the Flemington American Legion Post, past President of the Flemington Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary, past Chaplain of the VFW Post #7856 Ladies Auxiliary, and former Corresponding Secretary of the Flemington Chapter of Deborah Hospital.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of forty-six years, Michael Santo in 1998, her first husband, Alex Garay, a son, Steven Santo, and a sister, Eleanor Hampton.

Surviving are three sons, Alex and wife Olivia Garay of Lebanon, NJ, Michael and wife Pam Santo of Hampton, NJ, and Scott and wife Lisa Santo of Upper Black Eddy, PA; four daughters, JoAnn Garay and partner Dechen Drolma of Maui, HI, Cindy and husband John Doran of Holland Township, NJ, Jill Makarick and husband Robert Reasoner of Raritan Township, NJ, and Valerie Struble of Raritan Township, NJ; two brothers, Reverend John Waldron of Holmdel, NJ, and Paul Waldron of Wilmington, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11 AM in the Flemington Baptist Church under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
