Ernest Reid

Ernest Reid, age 54 years, of Lambertville, NJ, formerly of Flemington, NJ, died on Thursday, October 10, 2013, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was born in Trenton, NJ, July 20, 1959. He was the son of Cora Victoria (Taylor) Moore and the late James Reid, and his late foster parents, Arides and Mattie Oliver. He was predeceased by his sisters, Madeline Crawley and Geraldine Moore.

Surviving are his wife, Jeaneen Murphy Reid of Lambertville, his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Patrick Munyiri of Orange NJ, his daughters, Jessica Reid of Bound Brook and Carolyn McQueen of Flemington, and his former wife, Alice McQueen of Flemington.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Hazel McQueen, Julia, Maria, Selena and Marvin Zepeda, his brothers, Arides Oliver, Jr., Samuel Oliver, Paul Simone, James Moore, Winfield and his wife, Lillie Reid, Elmer and his wife, Geraldine Reid, his sisters, Irene Oliver, Cheryl Myers, Edius (Ernest) Brooks, and his brother-in-law, Lewis Crawley, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2 PM in the Flemington Baptist Church, 170 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 1-2 PM in the church.
